the season is beginning.

Even though Halloween is barely over and Thanksgiving has yet to come, the Christmas season has just started to unravel.  I'm sure if you go shopping today, you will see the Christmas trees in the JCPenney entry way and the holiday retailers on the loose!

However, as much as we seem to whine about how the Christmas season is becoming commercialized, we all know how excited we are that the fun and festivities around the corner.  I do my own premature Christmas celebration as I stick to a tradition that was passed down from my family, the Christmas Albums are out the day after Halloween!  Connel's ears may be worn from the sounds of the holidays by Thanksgiving, however I can't say the same for me...

I love CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!!  It's my favorite part of the holiday.

Here are some of my favorites of all time...

I love the Carpenters because of her beautiful enchanting voice, you can't listen to this album and not feel like you should look outside and see drifts of snow and a horse-drawn sleigh!

The Virgin's Lullaby by Josh Gracin ( I don't have a link, sorry.) is just a beautiful sounding song that brings so much peace into my heart! (..it helps that his voice is super handsome sounding ;)

I'd love it if you'd share some of your favorites with me...what are your favorite Christmas Songs/Albums? Why do you like them?

Trapper and I like the Trans Siberian Orchestra: The Lost Christmas Eve. It's not the traditional stuff, but it has a ctouching story behind all the songs.

I love Christmas music too!! It is my favorite part of the holidays. I completely agree with you on the Carpenters. I also love any Christmas songs sung by Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra or Nat King Cole. I love Manhyme Steamroller. My new favorites are Josh
Groban and Michael Buble'. I'm glad I am not the only one who starts listening to Christmas music the day after Halloween. Speaking of Halloween, you will have someone to get a costume for next year!! How exciting!!

My favorite Christmas music is Manheim Steamroller and I love the song "O Holy Night". I start breaking out Christmas music around Thanksgiving. I would listen to it earlier but Nick might put up a fight! :) What a scrooge!

Yeah for the Carpenters! That's my favorite too... it's a shame she didn't eat more. I also love Trans Siberian Orchestra. They are pretty fabulous. Richard saw them in concert and said it was unbelievable.

I am so excited to listen to Christmas music and put my decor up in both my house and classroom!! I'm chomping at the bit over here :) My FAVORITES are of course all the classics and Josh Grobin's "Noel" cd, Faith Hill's one and only Christmas cd. You HAVE to listen to her song, "A Baby changes Everything." It's absolutely AWESOME!!!

98 degrees Christmas always gets me in the holiday spirit. I know, so teeny bopper of me but I love it! Those were the good ol' days!

Today, whilst looking for after halloween bargains (we found some) Tessa and I ventured into the Christmas section of Target. SHE. WAS. SO. EXCITED. And so was I. And we sang. And I'm going to hunt down my christmas albums.

Love you.

I LOVE Christmas music! But not till day after Thanksgiving in our house. I guess my mom's rule just kind of stuck! But I know what you mean. November till the end of December is just the holiday seasonm, and pretty much a Christmasy time. I love just walking through the stores and looking at all the displays!

Love it! It’s just not Christmas without listening to Carpenters Christmas! I'm not "allowed" to listen to Christmas music until after thanksgiving... I'll just have to read your blog a lot to get a quick fix : )
